WHAT'S THE FIRST SESSION LIKE?
All therapy will be completed virtually, from wherever you feel the most relaxed & comfortable. I will be sure to send you a HIPAA compliant link for each session. The first session includes building rapport, collecting historical information, and setting goals for the process of therapy. Clients vary in their ability to know what is bothering them and in their ability to articulate clear goals for therapy. It is my job, as the therapist to help them gain clarity and set goals. Clients can expect my help and expertise in this area.
HOW LONG AND HOW OFTEN ARE SESSIONS?
Each session is 50 minutes long unless other specific arrangements have been made in advance. Clients should budget an hour of time via our virtual connection for each visit to include the amount of time it takes to pay for the session and reschedule the next appointment. Clients usually meet weekly in the beginning, particularly if the problem is very urgent or distressing, then they work to meet every other week and then monthly until they no longer need therapeutic help.
INSURANCE?
I do not file insurance, but once a month I can provide you with a detailed billing statement that will enable you to file with your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Should your insurance company require treatment plans or treatment updates, I will be glad to provide these. You may bring in the form or have your insurance company can email it.

Initial Intake is 90 minutes $100
Individual Therapy is 50 minutes $60
LOCATIONS?
As I am only licensed in the state of Texas currently, each client must reside in Texas, but can be from any part of the state.
APPOINTMENTS?
My current weekly available hours are afternoons 5:30p to 8:30p, Saturdays 12p to 4p, and Sundays 3p-6p. If a regular time can be agreed upon, I will reserve that spot for you, unless you state that you will not want it for a particular week or if you no longer need it because you completed your counseling process. Days and hours for appointment availability are subject to change based on needs.
APPROACH TO THERAPY?
My approach to therapy is based on the need of the client. That being said some of my favorite techniques include: Narrative Therapy, Art Therapy Techniques, Cognitive Behavior Therapy or CBT, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy or DBT. My main goal is to learn about you and craft an approach that is tailored to your learning and communication style, taking into consideration the strength or delicacy that your particular needs require from me.
